This site reviews surfboards and fins from boards that were actually bought, ridden and filmed, not from a spec sheet or a press release. I have ridden 150 surfboards over more than a decade. Every verdict here comes from riding the board on camera, not a manufacturer's claim.

The reviews were made on video on the Surfboards and Fins channel and written up here from those same sessions. Nobody paid for a place on the site. There is no affiliate link on this site. It runs on advertising, and nothing else.

Reviews from the rack

Long-form reviews walk through one board, one fin set or one question at a time, each tied to its own video and written up from that footage.

The quiver, and how it got smaller

A big rack does not mean a better one. This section covers what stayed, what moved on, and why.

Which board to choose

Before a board, there is a question. How many you actually need. Whether cheap is a false economy. Whether custom is worth the wait.

Fins change a board more than people expect

Same board, different fins, a different ride. These pages work through twins, quads and singles, and what actually moves the needle.

Buying and selling

Years of buying and selling boards teaches you what actually holds value. What that experience says about pricing, and what to check before handing over money for someone else's board.

Gear beyond the board

Wetsuits, hats and bags get the same treatment as boards: worn, tested, filmed.

Questions people ask

Does anyone pay for a review here?

No. Most boards were bought at retail or custom ordered and paid for. See how the site earns.

No. The site earns from advertising only, explained on the advertising page.

Where do the numbers on each board come from?

Its own video: what is shown and said on camera about that specific board. If a fact was not filmed, it does not appear on the page.
